Thompson Residence

45 University
Building code: THN

Thompson Residence received its first students in September 1972. The building is 20 stories high and is linked to Fauteux Hall by an elevated pedestrian walkway. Home to our youngest, first–year, residents, Thompson has 455 beds and is also home to the Centre for Academic Support and Programming of Activities in Residence (CASPAR).

It was named Thompson Hall in honour of Sir John Sparrow Thompson, Dean of the first Faculty of Law in 1887, and Prime Minister of Canada from 1892 to 1894.
