70 Laurier Avenue East
Building code: MHN
Located on Laurier Avenue, Hamelin Hall (formerly the Arts Hall) was built in 1996 at a cost of $15 million. The five-storey complex houses six of the 14 departments of the Faculty of Arts: it is home to Classical and Religious Studies, English, Linguistics, Modern Languages and Literatures, Philosophy and the School of Translation and Interpretation. Linked to Simard Hall by a walkway, the Hamelin building helps centralize a faculty that was previously dispersed across the campus.
