Building code: MCE

The Health Centre, located on the corner of King Edward Avenue and Marie-Curie (formerly Somerset) street was opened in 1990. The rectangular building emits an air of pride with it’s beautiful rose-salmon brick and abundant fenestration. In addition to housing the University of Ottawa Health Services, 100 Marie-Curie accommodates diverse services linked to health including a pharmacy, a dental clinic and Gamma-Dynacare. The building also houses services for the student population, including the Student Academic Success Service and the Counseling and Coaching Service.

In the basement, we find the Archives of the University of Ottawa. Large temperature and humidity-controlled vaults are specially designed for the long-term preservation of archival heritage of the establishment founded in 1848 under the name Bytown College. Furthermore, a reading room is available for researchers who wish to better understand the history and development of the most important and oldest bilingual university in North America.
